milli vanilli (white boy version)

Maybe he's more "Boy George". What do you think? I love when my kids play dress ups. It reminds me of when I was younger. They get so creative...or scary. Last Sunday, we needed to get out of the house, so we drove up Copper canyon a few miles, hoping to escape the heat that is dragging on and on this summer! We kept driving up further and the temperature still was holding at 95 degrees...even in the shade. So, we just pulled over by a little stream (or cesspool) and let the kids play around in it for a bit.

Syrelle and Cecelia spent almost the whole time transporting sludge (as seen here) and then flinging it onto a large rock (their canvas of choice).

Tennessee's first strawberry.

While I was in the backyard watering the garden, Tennessee found a mud pile and went to town. I love his expression in this picture! Hopefully this will build up his immune system.

Shipley finally finished the quilt she was working on for her young women's project. I think it turned out so cute. That little project cured us both of any need for crafting with the sewing machine for quite a while. Thank you Nanna, Natalie and Grandma Kathie for your help. Shipley ran for student council vice president at her school and won! Way to go Ship!

If mom won't get me a drink, I'll just get one myself!

Max lost his very first tooth last week!
Max put Tenn in the dump truck and pushed him all around the yard. He is such a cute brother.
Sweet baby brown eyes.

Displaying her very first homemade apple pie... all from scratch.

I'm super impressed by Shipley's quilt and pie! Mmmmm... looks so good! Congrats on the student council win! We LOVE the dress up pictures and seeing any type of mess on T's face. Your kids couldn't be any cuter!

Way to go Shipley on finishing your beautiful quilt and making it for student council. She'll be awesome. I love the pictures of Tennesee and his beautiful brown eyes.

Wish we could still a little bit of your heat during these wet cold days.
