Soccermania

One loss, one win, and lots of fun in the sun. Shipley's team, Venom, played a tough team that stayed tied until the other team pulled ahead by 1 point. She is thrilled that her uniform happens to be her favorite color. She has admitted to not playing as hard as she could because she is afraid to get her uniform dirty. Is she all girl, or what?

Wickman played forward with one assist to a goal. He is much more aggressive this year and seems to really understand the game now.

BORN TO PLAY SOCCER! Syrelle can barely walk without falling, but she has learned how to kick a soccer ball already. It was so cute to watch her kick this ball around on the sidelines at the game. I can't believe she'll be one this week!

It is spirit week and today was CRAZY HAIR DAY! She is almost one, so when Syrelle found the lid to the peanut butter on the floor, I didn't frantically rip it out of her hands. She licked off every trace of peanut butter there was and then was smooched by the cat who tried to lick every trace of Syrelle's face. I giggled and giggled as I watched the 2 kittens enjoying their snack. After Paul watched this video, he sprayed Syrelle's entire face down with Lysol.

Friday, Paul took the day off and we went down to Lake Pleasant to go boating with some friends. I left the battery for the camera in the car. I was so dissappointed to be able to capture Shipley and Wickman's first time up on the wake board. They both did great and the lake was suprisingly beautiful and warm. We had to cut the day short for soccer practice in the evening, but we ordered pizza and ate at the park. It was so windy that the kids ended up eating in the back of our friend's car. We love you Zeids!

Sara,
I nearly busted a gut watching that video of Syrelle with the peanut butter! She is adorable & it is so funny how she openly invited the kitten to lick her mouth, face, hands, etc. I'm sure Paul had a come apart! And there's no surprise that he whipped out the Lysol to disinfect! HAHA!

Oh my... I can't stop watching the Syrelle video. We are dying to see your family and can't wait for thanksgiving! I love each detail you offer in your posts... like the one of Shipley not wanting to totally get her soccer outfit dirty. What a precious family.
