We've Gone Completely Mad

Every year, the kid's school puts on a Mother's day tea. It was a delight!
An even bigger delight was our first trip to the river after winter. I thought the kids were crazy to swim as the water was quite cold, but it didn't seem to bother them a bit. Shipley found this big log and puttered around on it for about an hour pretending it was her taxi.
The water was so clear and beautiful this day. We are used to the water being being cloudy and dirty in this particular spot, which it will be later in the season.
The boys brought their boggie boards. "Where are the waves dude?"
We were thrilled beyond words that my newly engaged sister, Katie, came to spend several days with us while her fiancee was out of town. She accompanied us to the river where we enjoyed a picnic with the ants and relaxed. It was a fabulous afternoon.
This is the completely mad part. At only 8 weeks old and this big, I think we're in trouble. I wanted to name him Goliath, but I was voted out.
This little fellow worked his way into our hearts and into our car this weekend. Meet Duke. A friend of Wickman's had a dog with a litter of muts that she was giving away and we ended up being a recipient. We're hoping that he doesn't destroy our yard (ya, right) .
Shipley was cast as Hermia in her school production of "Mid Summer Night's Dream" and did a fantastic job. She had all of her lines memorized and proved to be a true thespian.
Paul has the opportunity of coaching Wickman's baseball team this year. GO SANDNATS! 2 more weeks of games left!
Okay, if you don't know Paul very well, he is a very good gift giver. You'll want him to draw your name for Christmas every year. He put together this his/her study kit for Mother's Day. Isn't he clever?

So fun to see a new post!!! You all look lovely in the Mother's day tea pictures. The river looked like a ton of fun. I'm sure the kids had a blast. Congratulations to Katie. (I wish I could view her blog, but I hear that she is extremely private with it. Blast!) I wish that I could have seen the plays at AHA but it was during naptime or something like that. I have heard, more than once from several different sources, that Paul is one of a kind, the most incredible husband, father, etc. All I can say is that you are incredibly lucky to have him and he is incredibly lucky to have you!

What fun pictures of your kids. You're pretty lucky with how often Katie's been out to see you. I still can't get over how much your kids are growing. It seems like you just barely moved to Camp Verde.
