Summer is here!

Who ever said that you need oodles of store bought toys to have a good time? Cecelia and Max played for a good hour with these boxes they pulled out of the recycling pile in the garage. They each had their own store. It was so fun to watch their imaginations in full swing.

The Camp Verde Kids Chorus ended their season with a fun movie themed concert. Shipley came out in this hilarious fish costume for their

"Swingin' on a Star" number.

After church today, Cecelia and Syrelle got into my closet and clopped around in my high heels. Like all little girls, she got such a kick out of clip, clop noise that they made. We are enjoying evenings in the backyard and are excited for our new sod to take root so we can play on it (pictures to be posted soon).

The kids spent their last official day of school at the Cottonwood pool. Cecelia and her friend Cori have been inseperable for 3 years now.

Max and Syrelle hanging out in the kiddie or "pee pool".

Tammy was a gracious host of an end of the year school bash with the cousins after the pool party. What a fun and busy day we had!

Check out this awesome header! Shipley spent every morning last week at a British soccer camp where she improved her soccer skills and won the world cup at the end of the week for Brazil. Her coach picked her as the MVP out of all the players. Way to go Shipley! We were most proud of her high marks in her evaluation for a positive attitude and good team working skills. Her first swim meet for this season is next saturday and she's been working out hard with her team for a couple of months now to prepare. We are off to a busy start, but it keeps us out of trouble. Happy summering!

Ahh, summer! There really is nothing to compare to the feeling of not having any homework to do when you come home at the end of the day.

Go Shipley and dress-ups, what fun!
I'm glad to see you're enjoying your summer days! Just be grateful you have rivers and pools to cool down. We barely made it through this heat wave.
