Finally!

There are 2 really big finallies (is that the plural of finally?) that happened all in one week. Cecelia lost her first tooth! She has been watching her classmates all through kindergarten loosing teeth right and left while she waited and waited to join the lost tooth club. The other one is that baseball season is FINALLY over. I don't understand why they have to play each team twice. I think we had about 16 games. Phew! Wickman did great and really improved his game this year and we really enjoyed hanging out with his team mates and their families throughout the season.
We made another trip out to clear creek where the kids spent several hours hunting for crawdads and playing in the sand. The water was still clear and beautiful.
Shipley only got out of the water once or twice in the 2 hours that we were there. She really is a camp verde crocodile (her swim team). Did I mention that she got first place in breast stroke and third place in the freestyle last week at the swim meet against Cottonwood? She also opened the meet by singing the national anthem with her friend Tasha. Go Ships!
Syrelle was kickin' it with McKoa on the beach at the creek eating sand and drinking up plenty of fresh creek water (uggghhh!).These are two prize crawdads that we illegally transported from the creek. I didn't have any idea that they were illegal to transport, so does that clear me from any charges? I promise on my honor not to let the kids bring any more home....ever!

How fun to see Cecelia in an "I Love NY" t-shirt. Can't wait to see you guys in August and sooo wish I could make it to Lake Powell. Perhaps next year.

Is it really illegal to take crawdads?! From anywhere or just where you guys were? That's crazy. It's not like they are endangered or anything. How weird. Looks like another day of fun for the Taylor family.

You can transport them. They just can't be alive. They don't want them to escape into one of the few places left that don't have crawdads (they aren't from around here).

People eat crawdads all the time. They have to travel from somewhere. Delicious.
