My sister Katie thinks we are desparate with our family themed parties. We are desparate for some good clean fun. We decided to have an "H" themed night. We ate hot dogs, hashbrowns, honeydew and heath ice cream. We watched Harry Potter and wore hot pink. We are not flashing gang signs in this picture. It is the letter H in sign language. Shipley is holding up a picture of Henry and Wickman is holding is helicopter art. Okay, maybe we are total nerds, but we had fun. Ohhh, I almost forgot. We got in the Hot tub too!

Shipley won first prize for wearing the most hot pink. Speaking of the the letter "h", there is this harry mut that I am super close to finding a new home for. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I present to you Duke.

Exibit A. Chewed through and torn out drip system just installed last week.

Exibit B. Brand new sod being torn out on a daily basis.

This mangly mut has been caught in the act of destroying my newly revamped backyard on a daily basis. Guilty? I say, YES!

Hi Sara, it's Melanie again. I just had to comment on your "cute" little puppy...I feel your pain! We've had very similar problems with our dog, but our kids would be devestated if we ever gave him away. I did a post about him a while back. If you want to feel a little better about your dog, feel free to read my "George is an EVIL dog" post=) Have a great day!
I love your themed parties! i didn't know that you did it on a regular basis. I thought the pirate one was the only one. How cute you guys are. And if you're nerdy than just keep on being nerdy, because nerds RULE! One of these days I am going to start copying you and have some family theme parties too. You are an inspiration!
I think we are all a little desperate for some wholesome entertainment. I can hardly watch a movie without feeling uncomfortable these days. What is the world coming to....themed parties I guess. I love you Sara. I can't wait to hang out with you guys next week.
What the h is going on? I can think of a few choice h-words that we could have integrated to spice things up...
I LOVED this post. You crack me up! I am convinced that you and Paul need to co-author a parenting book filled with family activities such as this. Your family is so much fun and I can hardly wait to see them at the wedding.
I'm telling you...dogs are bad news! Just take it to the pound, and tell the kids it got lost. You themed parties are so fun...feel free to invite the Ipson's for "I" night anytime!
Your family is so cute and creative! Please let those creative juices flow our way! I know what your going through with the dug up grass and the drip system! (that's the reason the dog belongs to my parents now!) Good luck with that! Thanks for being the fun family, and good example for my family to emulate:-) we need to have you guys over for dinner sometime soon!
Sara: I tried to warn you. Cute puppies don't stay cute for long!!! If you find a home for him...see if they'll take a smelly guinea pig too.
