just because

This blog is one of the things that constantly nags at me in the back of my mind, just sitting there begging like a neglected dog to be updated. I have been so preoccupied with this pregnancy, amoungst other things, that I have failed keep current. To my family, I apologize. Paul and the boys are having a backyard campout/cookout at a friends house, so the computer is actually free this evening! After the kids retire to bed, Paul is usually working through emails or checking the latest updates on Yahoo! sports. I can't blame him. We don't have any reception for television (by choice), so I figure it is completely fair to let him have his sports time out at night. He works so hard at the office and is so busy with bishop responsibilites that he needs a small break at night. Anyway, I thought I would blog "just because" tonight...post a few pictures, say a few comments, and head to bed to be rested for a day full of day of soccer games tomorrow! Shipley, Wickman, Cecelia, and Maxwell are all playing this year. I don't even need to mention what our saturdays are like, let alone weeknights. I love to watch them play. They all seem to really enjoy it. I haven't dowloaded the pictures yet, nor do I wish to at this late hour, so next time. But I am going to share a small slide show of our most recent Lake Powell trip. All of my siblings were there. We sure had a great time together. The food and company were fantastic. Highlights were: Nights by the campfire singing together, meal time (yum!) coming across a rattlesnake, games with the kids, playing on the beach and relaxing, fishing and boating! We celebrated my sister Katie's and my birthday a few days early and had the most delicious dutch oven chocolate cake ever. Thanks Mom and Dad for a wonderful trip (again)! Can't wait until next year to do it again!
