Valentine's Day came and went. We had heart shaped pancakes for breakfast and heart shaped meatloaf with red sauce for dinner.
Paul took the girls plus Britin to the school's annual Father/daughter dance.

I am a bit sad posting this pre-school picture of Syrelle and Lillie. As of last month, the Ipson's have moved to Prescott Valley, which has really left Syrelle in a lurch. She is missing her pre-school pal and best friend/cousin and I am missing my Natalie!
Maxwell's friend Eden was over, so we thought that she would be perfectly cast as the 3rd pig in our production of the 3 little pigs. Well! Boy were we wrong! She wasn't going to put on that pig nose for anything! You can see their houses of straw and sticks in the background.

This was one of Shipley's soccer tournaments in Phoenix. She is guarding her post (pun intended).

After the long hot game, we retreated to Freemont Park in Gilbert where we hit the batting cages, rode the train and carousel and fed the ducks.

Tennessee couldn't wait for dinner so he opted for this hot dog on a stick. But wait, where is the hot dog?
Shipley's end of the year soccer party was held at Castle's and Coasters down in the valley, so we decided to tag along.
The boys just hated this ride.
The log ride...
The free fall...
Isn't spring glorious? I finally came to grips with the fact that we weren't leaving Camp Verde permanently any time soon, so I planted tulip bulbs in the fall. What a wonderful treat to have blooming flowers in April! They were gorgeous!
THE BIG HUNT!
We caught the Easter Bunny and decided to keep her.
After.
The competitors. Before.....
The kids set up a pet shop. The cat actually loved being in the basket.
The feast.
Grandma Helen memory.... Max is collecting "pokey's" to burn in the fire pit.
After ten minutes of gnawing on this brown marker, Tennessee was finally convinced it wasn't chocolate. Just for the record, this didn't happen on MY watch.

Jen and I took the boys out for dinner at Stromboli's and then hit the annual mother/son dance. Max chose to stay home and watch a movie instead. I guess that makes me a boring date?
I saw this rather interesting looking squash at Bashas. It is called Chayote I think. It was so prickly, I couldn't even pick it up with my bare hands. I was determined to take it home and try and cook it up. "I will never eat that!" exclaimed Cecelia. I began to plot how I would boil it up and sneak it into a recipe. It sat there on the counter staring at me for weeks. I was sort of scared of it's prickly skin and unknown insides. Unfortunately, mold tackled it before I did.

Yahoo.. What fun to see some of the events of this spring. Oh how I love those little peanuts. Thanks for providing me with such fabulous
grandchildren.
I am craving no-bake cookies now, btw. Love you.
Hahaha...that picture of Tennessee eating the marker cracks me up. It looks like you guys are having a great time, as always!
I love your kids! I made one of those zip lines when I was a kid.
Fun to see pictures of all your cute kids. Tennessee is sure getting big. I love the picture of him asleep in his high chair. Miss you guys and wish we lived closer.
I just loved looking at your blog and in so many of those pictures I saw glimpses of the little boy that I grew up with. I miss you Paul!
Love,
Suz
